The great outdoors offers an abundance of opportunities for adventure and relaxation, and what better way to enjoy them than by getting outside and exploring? In this article, we're going to share seven easy ways to enjoy the outdoors, including one of our personal favourites - see if you can guess which one it is!
1) Take a Hike
Hiking is a great way to get exercise, explore nature, and clear your mind. Whether you're an experienced hiker or just starting out, there are plenty of trails to choose from that cater to all skill levels.
Pack some snacks, some water, and your camera and hit the trails for a day of adventure.
2) Go for a Bike Ride
Cycling is a fun and low-impact way to explore the great outdoors. You can rent a bike or bring your own and ride along scenic routes, bike paths, or mountain trails.
It's a great way to get some exercise, enjoy the scenery, and feel the wind in your hair (or on your head - either works!).
3) Try Camping
Camping is a classic outdoor activity that offers a chance to disconnect from the world and reconnect with nature. You can camp in a tent, RV, or cabin, and enjoy the sights and sounds of the great outdoors.
What’s not to like about sitting around a campfire, roasting marshmallows, and enjoying the stars?
4) Visit a Provincial Park
Provincial parks are a treasure trove of natural wonders and breathtaking scenery. And since Ontario alone has over 300 of them (!) there’s no doubt that you can find one near you.
You can hike, camp, fish, or just wander around and take in the natural beauty of the great outdoors.
5) Have a Picnic
You don’t have to go far for this one! Simply pack a picnic basket with your favourite foods, find a scenic spot, and enjoy a leisurely meal in the great outdoors.
It's a simple but enjoyable way to get outside and soak up some sun. Plus, you can easily do it in your own backyard.
6) Go on a Boat Tour
Here it is! One of our personal favorites, going on a boat tour, is a great way to explore the outdoors from a different perspective. You can take a sightseeing tour, a sunset tour, or even a dinner cruise, and enjoy the sights and sounds of the water.
It can really be a fun, relaxing, and memorable way to spend a day with friends and family.
7) Take a Yoga Class Outdoors
Yoga is a great way to connect with your body and mind, and doing it outdoors can enhance the experience. Fortunately, it’s getting easier and easier to find outdoor yoga classes in parks, on beaches, or in other scenic locations.
It's a great way to combine exercise, relaxation, and nature. And we could all probably use a bit more of these three!
